Why use Comic Life in the Classroom From ICTs in English

Hi, interesting question.
I have just investigated this and bought it for our school. For me the beauty will be the ease of the sequence, especially when so much time can be taken to draw the storyboard as a draft and then to publish it, very time consuming, and therefore more time can be given to the important part of the script, creative writing, hooking in the boys to writing. They still have to place the photos in order and the planning stage will deal with the important sequence part of the process.
Do our creative writers in the commercial world use a pencil? What are we teaching our students for?
Our kids today are so used to the quality presentation this gives, with the different types of games they have, images they use and see and this is part of that, relevant learning for this generation.
The other reasons this will work is it integrates ICT into learning, planning to use cameras for the process, using online art programmes, importing digital images, making toy scenes, collaboration of a group to get the process complete, and writing for an audience, we will use it for so many audiences, reason we write.
If this doesn’t add value to learning, what ever will.
Cheers

John
